Lamborghini Fenomeno has received the Red Dot: Best of the Best 2026 award, one of the highest distinctions in international product design. The recognition places the limited-run super sports car at the center of Lamborghini’s current design story, where extreme performance, aerodynamic precision and a cleaner visual language are being pushed into the same object.

The award was given in the Product Design category and confirms the role of Fenomeno as more than a collector’s car. For Lamborghini, it is a statement piece created to mark the 20th anniversary of Centro Stile, the brand’s in-house design department. Production is limited to just 29 units, keeping the car within Lamborghini’s Few-Off tradition.

Fenomeno introduces what Lamborghini describes as a new chapter in its design language. The car is built around the idea of “hyper-elegant design,” reducing each element to a more essential form while preserving the sharp, theatrical presence expected from Sant’Agata Bolognese.

At the front, the design is dominated by large racing-inspired air intakes and a new daytime running light signature that references the horns in the Lamborghini emblem. The Y-shaped graphic theme continues through the front splitter and headlights, connecting familiar brand codes with a more technical surface treatment.
The side profile is shaped by a single continuous line running across the car, giving Fenomeno a stretched and athletic stance. Lamborghini also links the silhouette to the long-tail character of the Essenza SCV12. Carbon-fiber elements in the lower body are not only visual accents, but part of the car’s aerodynamic performance.

Under the bodywork, Fenomeno uses Lamborghini’s most powerful naturally aspirated V12, paired with three electric motors. The hybrid system delivers a combined output of 1,080 CV. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed above 350 km/h. Its weight-to-power ratio of 1.64 kg/CV sets a new benchmark for the brand.
Mitja Borkert, Design Director of Automobili Lamborghini, described Fenomeno as a “manifesto of style” that expands Lamborghini’s design language while staying connected to the company’s few-off bloodline.

The official Red Dot ceremony will take place on July 7 at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany. For Lamborghini, the award strengthens Fenomeno’s position as both a design object and a performance flagship: a car built in tiny numbers, but intended to signal where the brand’s design direction is heading next.
